Looking for a place to eat near Disney? It can be hard to find a place to eat on any given night of the week, and especially when you are trying to find someplace to eat at or near Disney. If you are looking for a change from eating with Mickey, check out Carrabba’s.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill is located nearby (off Hwy 192) and offers a very full menu, pasta, grilled meats, delicious and crisp calamari, small pizzas, fresh salads, and soup. Although they don’t offer free refills on soup and/or salad like Olive Garden, they do offer a more upscale dining experience. The food is a bit different than Olive Garden. I do like Olive Garden, but we like to change it up a bit and we do go to both places. I love the bread sticks and soups at OG. (If Olive Garden is more your speed, there is also an Olive Garden nearby.)
Instead of ordering calamari this time, we opted for splitting a pizza. While their calamari is usually quite tasty, perhaps a little on the dry side, sometimes you just don’t want the fried food.
Fresh milk mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and basil
Wood-grilled chicken, sauteed mushrooms and sundried tomatoes tossed with rigatoni in our housemade tomato cream sauce topped with scallions and ricotta salata
I usually order spaghetti and sausage, Mezzalunas, or as seen above, the Rigatoni Martino. I love when the pasta is just right, that is so important. The pasta tastes fresh and the sauce is very good. This dinner comes with your choice of a soup or side salad. I like both, but usually only order soup if it’s cold outside.
For those of you who like to use credit card rewards on dining out…Carrabba’s is in the Bonefish, Outback Steakhouse, Roy’s, and Fleming’s family of restaurants.
