We are looking forward to trying the Deluxe Dining Plan.  This will be our first time using any dining plan.  We normally use the Table in Wonderland card when dining at WDW.  After doing a lot of reading about the dining plan, we’re going to give it a try.  The Deluxe Dining Plan provides 3 meals, 2 snacks, and 1 refillable mug per person per night for a set price.  This sounds like way too much food to cram into 2 days.  But, I think it will be cool to try it and see how it goes.  I’ve already made the three advanced dining reservations.  I also found out that Teppan Edo doesn’t take the Tables in Wonderland card – so +1 to the dining plan already! On another trip, we’re looking forward to trying the Quick Service Dining Plan as well.

Our three restaurants will be:

Teppan Edo, Via Napoli, and Captain’s Grill.

With the Deluxe Dining Plan, you are able to order 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 dessert, and 1 non-alcoholic beverage and you can dine at 3 table service restaurants.  With the regular Dining Plan, you receive 1 table service and 1 quick service meal, and they don’t let you order an appetizer at the table service meal – which is a bummer.  I’m estimating that the DxDP will save us about $40-50.

I’ll be sure to post an update next month with photos and feedback about our DxDP experience.
