Olivia’s Cafe is located a little off the beaten path at Disney’s Old Key West. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s the only table service restaurant at Old Key West. What I really like about Olivia’s is that it is just a really good unpretentious restaurant, the food and the service has always been great. Olivia’s has lovely patio seating, this would be ideal when the weather cools down a little.
The Old Key West resort is charming, the plants and flowers are fantastic, the buildings are cute, the check-in building has two cool seating areas, and they even have a small boardwalk area where you can order a cocktail or beer at the tiny bar around the corner, or get fast food counter service and sit at the picnic area. There is also boat transportation service to Down Town Disney.
We have only been there for lunch/dinner, they offer sandwiches, salads, and entrées. I’ve tried the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Sandwich and the Cuban Sandwich, both were very good. I always order the appetizer salad, which is fresh and tasty with their house dressing, a citrus vinaigrette, – yum. Olivia’s also serves table bread, similar to the bread you get at ‘Ohana, and it’s delicious. My husband loves their Key West salmon salad entrée, they cook the salmon beautifully. They also make their own coleslaw, which is vinegar based (no mayo – a plus for me) and also very good. I’m sure we will try Olivia’s for breakfast in the future, sometime when we are on staying property. They have some tempting desserts as well, I have had the Banana Bread Sundae and it’s delicious. My husband loves the Flourless Chocolate Cake a la mode. They also serve alcohol, you can order a margarita or bloody mary for the full Key West feel.
Looking forward to trying their Banana Bread French Toast topped with Bahamian Banana Rum Butter Sauce, Coconut cream, and your choice of Bacon, Sausage, or Ham, or the Sombrero Beach Omelet – three-egg omelet with ham, green pepper, onion and cheddar topped with sour cream and pico de gallo. Sure sounds good to me.
Old Key West is a Disney Vacation Club resort, although regular guests can make cash reservations to stay at this resort or may rent DVC points through a reputable listing agency.
